Our wider work

Conservation in Angola

Beyond the sanctuary, we have helped finance a ranger and a primate nurse for confiscated orphan chimpanzees in Angola, and provided equipment for the rangers on the ground there.

Wales Ape & Monkey Sanctuary is also an accredited quarantine premises and has held Balai Directive approval for over 16 years, which is what allows us to receive primates from European partner sanctuaries.
