A plain-English summary of how we handle your information. We collect as little as possible and never sell it.
Who we are
Wales Ape & Monkey Sanctuary (the controller) is a UK registered charity, no. 1076645. Registered office: Caehopkin, Abercrave, SA9 1UD.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions. Your name, email, and message, when you write to us.
- Group booking enquiries. Same as above, plus group size and visit date if you supply them.
- Aggregated visit counts. Anonymous page-view data via Vercel Analytics. No personally identifying information.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry (lawful basis: legitimate interest in answering visitor questions).
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site (legitimate interest, aggregated only).
How long we keep it
Contact-form submissions are kept for as long as needed to answer your question, normally no longer than 12 months. Aggregated visit data is kept for the lifetime of the analytics provider (Vercel) and contains no personal information.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or trade personal information. Our forms are processed by Resend, our email delivery provider, on our behalf. Analytics is provided by Vercel and is anonymous.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@ape-monkey-rescue.org.uk and we will respond within one calendar month.
How to complain
If you think we have mishandled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
